We are seeking suitable applicants for Cook and Educator positions on a casual basis for our early childhood centre at ALPHA. Reporting to the Alpha Early Learning Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day kitchen duties and preparation of meals for children, providing assistance and support to the centre staff in other room and undertake additional tasks in line with the overall position and as per the operational needs of the Centre.

 

The successful applicant will have, amongst other attributes, relevant qualifications in food preparation (desirable any early childhood qualifications e.g. Certificate III in ECEC) and other food handling related qualifications, knowledge of the early childhood industry, demonstrated experience in early childhood and cooking for children. Proficiency in English is a requirement and an additional language is highly desirable with excellent written and oral skills and excellent time management skills.

Mandatory:

• Fully Covid-19 Vaccination status.
• Certificate III in early childhood education and care.
• Food Handling Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Criminal History record check.
• Working with children check.
