Kelly

Manager

Kelly is a highly qualified and trained leader with experience across the industrial and childcare sectors.

Kelly oversees the implementation and extension of Alpha’s programs in a safe, multicultural and equitable environment. She ensures the provision of nurturing, play-based activities to help children in care flourish. Kelly assists staff with their professional and personal development, and also mentors TAFE students training in the early childhood sector. At Alpha, she enjoys the opportunities for self-development, positive role-modelling and engagement within the community. 

Kelly holds a Certificate III in Children’s Services, Diploma of Children’s Services, Bachelor of Applied Science Majoring in Biochemistry & Microbiology, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, Certified Supervisor and Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services Nation Law Act 2010.

Roulla

Administrative Services Officer

Roulla lends her organisation skills to support the education of our future leaders

Roulla is a trained administration officer with certificates from the Receptionist Centre of Melbourne and MYOB Statement of Attainment Level III ICA20201. Her ability to multitask under pressure makes her an invaluable part of the team. In addition to her general admin duties, she assists parents with their questions. Roulla loves the atmosphere at work and enjoys working with the Alpha team. In her down time, she likes dancing, shopping and socialising with friends.

Anna

Educator & 2IC

Anna is a highly qualified, trained and experienced childcare professional

Anna has a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services, and is trained in First Aid, CPR, child protection and food handling. Her excellent cooking, great communication and organisational skills, and endless patience make her perfect for her role. She enjoys watching children develop their personalities and loves to see children who attended Alpha years ago now bringing their children in for care.  She considers Alpha her second home and looks forward to coming into work every day.

Angela

Kindergarten Teacher

Angela is a qualified early childhood educator with three decades of experience.

Angela holds a Diploma in Early Childhood (TAFE) and a Bachelor of Early Childhood from Melbourne University. She is extremely organised when going about a task. Her favourite aspect of her job is watching children develop and grow during the year. She is fascinated by how they absorb information and feels that educators have the responsibility for facilitating this learning. When she isn’t moulding young minds, Angela can be found reading, keeping fit and travelling.

Maria

Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care

 

Maria is a native Greek speaking educator having attained her Diploma in Early Childhood and Education and Care while doing her placement at Alpha. She has immense willingness to thrive in her role.

Always seeking to learn, gain further experience and has undertaken the position of the of Room Leader role.

Maria delivers the Greek Language Program in her room ensuring the children gain knowledge and support as they learn about the Greek culture and Language.

Maria is also an active team member supporting her colleagues.

In her spare time Maria likes to do relaxing activities with her family.

Eleni

Greek Language Teacher & Kindergarten Assistant

30 years of preparing children for primary school

Eleni has a certificate III in Early Childcare, a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and has completed a Professional Development Program in Second Language Teaching Methodology for teachers in community school. In addition to teaching, she plays a key role in organising Alpha’s end of year concerts. Her creative nature, excellent communication and organisation skills make her perfect for this role. She loves reading, cooking and getting together with friends and family.

Maria

Maria Katergaris has a  Diploma in Early Childhood and Education and Care, is a native  Greek Speaking educator and delivers the Early Childhood Languages program at Alpha ELC. Maria has extensive experience in delivering the language program having gained experience in the delivery of the Pilot Greek Language Program in other kindergarten settings also. The ECL Program encompasses the teachings of Greek Culture and  language, where the children gain an understanding of Multiculturalism and Diversity during play based activities, music and dance.

Nina

Casual Kindergarten Teacher

Nina is a highly qualified professional with teaching experience in Russia and Australia

Nina has a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services from Swinburne University, as well as a Bachelor of Kindergarten Teaching. Her strongest skills are her professionalism, passion and her spirit of active learning. Her favourite part of her job is encouraging children’s curiosity, and making them feel special and proud of their identity. Nina loves that her work at Alpha has a positive impact on children. Her hobbies include gardening, dancing, reading, arts, crafts and drama.
